Crafting Language for Portland’s New Social Safety Net
What problems were you experiencing before you worked with me?
Before I started working with Indigo, Love, Portland was just an idea—an evolving vision I was passionate about but hadn’t yet brought into the world.
I was connecting with my community to figure out where the greatest needs were and how Love, Portland could meet them. At the same time, I was working with a branding studio on big-picture elements like design and identity.
But I still needed one critical piece: clear, cohesive language to articulate what Love, Portland is all about—its voice, values, and vision. That’s when I was introduced to Indigo.
How did I help? What specifically did you implement that made a difference?
When we began working together, I shared everything I had about Love, Portland—my stream-of-consciousness notes, my hopes for its role in the community, and my values as its founder.
Indigo quickly made sense of it all, breaking it down into key components and translating my ideas into clear, compelling copy.
I was thrilled when I saw the first round of copy—it captured my vision beautifully!
Throughout the process, Indigo was a fantastic collaborator. He welcomed feedback, explored new ideas I brought up, and made thoughtful edits during every round of rewrites.
What results have you achieved and how is life different now?
After nurturing my vision for Love, Portland over time, I’m thrilled to say my dream site is live!
